Video surveillance application with recording, monitoring and face recognition

The program has been created as general software for security hybrid platforms running all together with wireless and wired Internet webcams, TV-cards, capture cards, power-line, and USB cameras. It has web interface with the equal look and functionality on the local and distant computers. Customers watch MPEG-4 coded video and have full management of the software through net that security station can be run with no screen, keyboard, and mouse attached. Program`s modular composition extensively improves reliability because all modules operate as independent programs. If one module freezes, other modules continue running. For instance if the `record` module stops working, `watchdog` starts again it immediately that viewers don`t notice anything because they are watching picture through a `playback` module. The software makes `repeated` recording that the `disk full` situation never happens. The recording can be constant or it can be activated by activity, human face detection, or by timetable. The software has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty simple and performs on the surveillance server as well as on remote server using Web interface. The program makes synchronized video playback for event examination from many cameras simultaneously. Also recorded files can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded data can be encrypted and password protected.
